Artist submission for the 2017 Jazz Festival has now closed.

Artist selection for Devonport Jazz is based on artistic excellence, and stylistic balance within the context of each year’s program.
Programming decisions are made by the Devonport City Council Marketing and Events Team.

Artists wishing to submit material for consideration can do so by:

There is no formal application process and deadline. Assessment of artists is an ongoing process, although the majority of the program is negotiated and booked between September and February for following festival.

The following information should be provided when contacting Devonport Jazz for consideration:
•          Artist/Band name
•          Nominated representative
•          Email address
•          Phone Number
•          Where are you based?
•          Personnel and instrumentation
•          Band bio (please include the style of Jazz or Blues you generally perform)
•          Access to samples of your work on your website, Facebook page, YouTube, Soundcloud or cd.
•          High Resolution Photo
•          Any other features of your band (e.g. special projects or tributes), unusual gear requirements or any other information that might be relevant.

Owing to the volume of enquiries received, it is not possible to return material submitted.

Devonport Jazz receives many more submissions than we can program. The festival is committed to presenting a wide and varied line-up and we are continually faced with hard choices involving artists we would love to book but simply don't have space for. This in no way signifies a lack of appreciation for their work.
